The Pinellas County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) is a network of agencies that work together to educate, prevent and respond to sexual assault in our community. Individuals of all ages, races, genders, abilities, socioeconomic and sexual orientation can be sexually assaulted. Therefore, survivors of sexual violence may seek assistance through a variety of organizations. A coordinated response is crucial to ensure survivors are provided with the most comprehensive services available.
SART is comprised of representatives from the Pinellas County Sexual Assault Services Center, law enforcement agencies, the State Attorney's Office, hospitals, universities and a variety of other local organizations advocating for survivors of sexual assault. SART has developed a network to exchange information and resources critical to its operation. Our mission is to provide effective prevention and a sensitive and competent coordinated response to sexual violence that makes the survivor's needs a priority, holds offenders accountable, and promotes public safety. Through the use of education and easily-accessible resources, SART is working to end sexual assault in our community.
